BioShield Trim & Cabinet Paint, a water based durable furniture paint which is universally suitable for interior and exterior use. It has zero VOCs and is solvent free. BioShield Trim & Cabinet Paint can give your furniture an exciting new look wherever that extra bit of performance is needed. Use on outdoor furniture and on surfaces such as cabinetry, shelving, doors, tables and chairs. No extra sealing is required. Preparation and Application: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil and wax. Remove loose material. If necessary, prime wood prone to tannin bleed, or areas of water-staining with BioShield Stain Blocker. For best appearance we suggest 2-3 coats of BioShield Trim & Cabinet Paint. Lightly sand between coats (100-120 Grit) to ensure adhesion and to remove any flaws in the previous coat. If a strong color difference exists (generally from very dark to very light), a third coat may be required.
Tools: Use high quality synthetic fiber brushes; on smooth surfaces, foam or mohair (very short nap) rollers can be used. Clean tools with warm soapy water before paint dries.
Dry time: Leave first coat to dry for approx. 12 hours before sanding; the second coat will be touch dry after about 1 hour, depending on the temperature. Avoid placing heavy objects , especially on horizontal surfaces, for two weeks to allow full hardening of the paint. Protect exterior applications from rain or snow for al least two weeks.
Thinner: Can be diluted with water (max. 10%).
Coverage: One quart of BioShield Trim & Cabinet Paint will cover approx. 100-125 square feet per coat. Make sure to minimize waste by carefully calculating the paint you need for your project.
